The following was again before the House in third reading: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 26(FIN) "An Act relating to short-term commercial fishing crewmember licenses; and providing for an effective date." Representative Seaton moved and asked unanimous consent that CSHB 26(FIN) be returned to second reading for the specific purpose of considering Amendment No. 1. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representative Seaton: Page 2, line 17, following "not": Insert "be paid, receive crew shares, or receive other compensation for work performed under the license and may not" Representative Seaton moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Representative Thomas objected. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 1 be adopted?" Representative Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that the roll call on the passage of the bill be considered the roll call on the effective date clause. There being no objection, it was so ordered. CSHB 26(FIN) was referred to the Chief Clerk for engrossment.
